People like us

Hey guys so, since I haven't gotten the time to go see a new movie in the cinema lately, I'm going to do an old movie called People Like Us since I haven't done a movie review in quite some time. I hope you guys enjoy my movie review!

Genre
Drama

Age
PG-13

Plot
Sam has not seen his father for a very long time. When his father dies, he goes back home to stay with his mom for the funeral. He is also there to see if his father has left him some money, so that he could save himself from his troubles. When he does find the cash it is not named to him but to someone named Josh Davis. Sam spends his time looking for Josh and when he does he finds out that it is the son of a woman, named Frankie. Sam makes contact with Frankie and they start to hang out together. Sam thinks that Frankie is his sister that he never knew about, but Frankie doesn't know about this or the money.
Sam doesn't want to tell Frankie about any of this because he is afraid to ruin their relationship. Sam is planning on telling Frankie, but is afraid of her reaction. Is Frankie okay with all of this? Does she hate him now or is happy that she has a brother?

Cast
Chris Pine
Elizabeth Banks
Olivia Wilde
Jon Favreau
Michelle Pfeiffer
Philip Baker Hall

Director
Alex Kurtzman

Review
The only reason I wanted to watch this movie was because Elizabeth Banks was in this. I found this movie quite boring at times. There were some scenes that I thought were dragged along, in my opinion. It was a very heartfelt movie, but I didn't enjoy it that much.

Rating
I'm going to give People Like Us
2 out of 5.

I hope you guys enjoyed my blog post!

  1. I saw this movie about a year ago. I think it is was ok but it could have been so much better. I too that it took to longer to get to the point and seemed to just drag on. The acting was good; it is just the direction and editing that was lacking.
