Big announcement
Hey hey guys! So you are probably wondering why on earth I haven't posted in SOOOOOOO long. That's because I have been making a new blog! Yes, that's right I've been making a new blog It's going to be called "Shanene that's me". I will explain what I will being doing on it closer to the time which will be in a week or so. If you guys are wondering if I will still be doing "Movieswithshanene" and continuing to do my movie reviews every Saturday, I will.................................. tell you guys next week. I want to hear from you guys if you enjoy my reviews and want me to continue them or if you think that they are boring and I should not do them on my new blog, tell me in the comments, your opinion would help me a lot, and who knows I could mention you on my new blog. Catching Fire
Hey hey guys so as I already told y'all I was doing The Hunger Games and Catching Fire as Mockingjay-Part 1 is coming out soon. So today I'll be posting Catching Fire. Plot
Katniss Everdeen has survived her first Hunger Games and is living a luxurious life in the Victors Village with her mum and Prim. Things have changed for Katniss, she doesn't have to worry that her sister will die of starvation, she has a new lover and her and Gale have started to separate.
Katniss thinks that she is safe but since it's the 75th Hunger Games things are about to change. This year the existing victors from each District will be reaped again. As Katniss is the only female to have won in District 12 she knows that she will be going back again. Katniss is more afraid of the fact that she might be in the arena again with Peeta or with Haymitch. She begs Haymitch to protect Peeta if he gets in.
In this game we meet lots of interesting new characters like Finnick and Johanna.
Will Katniss survive once again? How will Catching Fire end?

This movie is so freakin amazing. I was sooooooooo surprised by how good it was compared to the first movie. Franics did an AMAZING job as the new director. Even though Gary did do a great job on The Hunger Games, he didn't do as good as Franics. The graphics were amazing you couldn't tell when there was a green screen, acting was amazing. I really enjoyed seeing the charecter developments from the first movie to this one. He just did such a good job that I was mind-blow after watching it. He kept the important scenes and made it even more important, but he did forget the Bonnie and Twill scene in the woods. Everything else was perfection!

I'm giving The Hunger Games: Catching Fire a number so big that we could count our whole lives and stil wouldn't get there.
I hope you enjoyed this weeks blog post and I can't wait to write a review on Mockingjay. Even though it is coming out this week, I'm seeing it next week because I have exams so it would be a nice way to celebrate them being done!! To the hunger games and beyond
Hey hey guys! I hope y'all are doing fine! So this month I'm going to do something different (not really that different), since Mockingjay- Part 1 is coming out in 2 weeks I have decided that I am going to do the Hunger Games review this week and the Catching Fire Review next week, which will lead up to the Mockingjay-Part 1 review! I hope you guys enjoy this post and sorry that it's shorter than usual and it's late I've been really busy with my exams so I apologise in advanced if my posts are late in the coming weeks. Review
This is one of my favourite movies of all time. What really grasped me about this book is the whole concept. I like the plot of the books and I was very happy that
they decided to make a movie. The only thing I do have to say is that there were a lot of important scenes from the book that they didn't include in the movie.
*Spoiler* They didn't include Madge which was the one who was supposed to give Katniss the pin, Peeta's fake leg, the interview at the very end before they were supposed to leave, that was when Katniss found out about Peeta's leg. And most of all I really wanted to see Haymitch fall of the stage at the reaping. The visual affects were also not as good as I wanted it to be, you could tell when they were using a green screen sometimes, but overall it was ok for a first movie.
Rate
I'm giving The Hunger Games at 4 out of 5, it lost a mark because of the scenes and the affects weren't as good as I wanted them to be.
Movie news
This is some exciting movie news. I think on Thursday or Friday it was announced that there will be a (drumroll please)............... Toy story 4. Yes you read that right there will be a Toy Story 4 being relased in June 2017. Even though I'm not a little kid anymore I'm still excited to see what the plot of Toy Story 4 will be! Are you guys excited for this or not? Tell me why in the comments.
Movie Premiere
Tomorrow is November 10th and that means that the world premier of Mockingjay- Part 1 will be in London again. (Fangirls). Are you excited for this or not? The livestream will be on Yahoo Uk at 5.30pm GMT and when it starts I'll post a link on here and on my twitter. Are you any of you guys going to the premiere or watching the livestream? Did you see the Grievers in the car on that poster?!
Happy November!!! October was filled with amazing movies and crap movies, so much movie news came out that month, but hopefully we get even more news this month. In my post today I'm doing my top 5 movies for November, talking about new posters that were released, a trailer was also released about my halloween costume and lastly a movie review on yes FINALLY The Maze Runner! 1. Mockingjay- Part 1
These are my top 5 movies for November! You gotta have a comedy movie you want to see each month and mine is Dumb and Dumber To. It seems so stupid that it's funny and if you have Jim and Jeff in the same movie, you know it's gonna be a weird one.
I also have an animation it's Big Hero 6. It's by Disney! This movie is all kinds of weird what really makes it interesting and funny is you have a villain and then you have this huge ballon or whatever it is who doesn't really know what to do. He is programmed to be a smart creation but turns out to be not so smart. I'm really excited to see what Big Hero 6 will bring to the screen.
I have a Drama movie. It's Paradise Lost. It has a story line that I haven't seen before and it really gripped my attention. The acting is amazing and the setting. Josh deserves an oscar for his acting. The whole concept seems interesting.
I have two adventure and action movies on my list. I have Interstellar and Mockingjay- Part 1. When I first saw the Interstellar trailer while seeing Divergent, I remember thinking to myself "what on earth" but I watched the trailer again and it seems so interesting. The whole plot is interesting, they know the earth is coming to an end so they decide to go out into space to see whether there is human life beyond the Galaxy. It's hard to explain how good I think it is. I'm super excited to see if it lives up to my expectations. Mockingjay- Part 1 will be the death of me. The TV spots and this trailer will have be crying my eyes out.
Movie Review
So FINALLY I saw The Maze Runner yesterday. I got to see it with my two bffs for my bffs birthday. It was better than I expected. It was AMAZING. It had me wishing the second one would hurry up already.

Plot
Thomas awakes in this box. He does not remember his name, how he got here and why he is here. Once out of the box he finds himself in this big huge like farm but it's the Glade, with other boys. Thomas is confused and alone. Chuck and Newt help him in his first couple of days in The Glade. When Thomas is told that there is a Maze behind the doors that seperate the Maze and the Glade, Thomas is curious to go into the Maze. When Gally and Alby tell him that he is not to go as he is a newbie, Thomas tries everything that is possible to become a runner. When an event happens with Alby and Minho, Thomas takes that as an advantage.
Along this journey a surprise arrives for the Gladers, enemies are made, things go caotic at night and Thomas and everyone must find a way to get out of this Maze or they are in for a treat!

Review
I loved The Maze Runner. I wish it was longer but I like the way even though the movie was short they kept the really important scenes but made it shorter. There were a lot of changes which I didn't really like. SPOILER ALERT**
Gally was supposed to be taken by a Griever and then the people left surviving were supposed to see him at WICKED headquarters. They didn't show them at the hospital near the end and that's when Tersa tells Thomas that wicked is good. Alby was supposed to die in the maze when everyone was going to escape. They were supposed to type in letters to escape not numbers. The list goes on.
The graphics and effects were AMAZING, the Grievers look really good better than I expected. We get to see the Scorch near the end. The Scorch looks surreal. I really enjoyed the way that the epilogue of The Maze Runner was kept in the movie and we get to see Ava Paige after the fake accident. We got to see James. Overall I really enjoyed it, I just wish it was longer.

I'm giving The Maze Runner a 4 out of 5. It's losing a mark because it was too short.
Halloween night
Halloween was pretty fun for me. There was Katniss,Tris, Christina, Prim, an angel and a zombie. I dressed up as Katniss!
I was deciding whether or not I should wear her reaping outfit or the one she wore into her first games, so I decided to wear what she wore in the first games. I wore dark green jeans, a black top with a catching fire symbol on it (yes I know it doesn't have the hunger games symbol on it) and a leather jacket with leather boots and your pin ( WHICH I LOST SOMEHOW, JAYSUS). If I were suggesting this for next year if you want to wear it I would have worn a backpack like what Katniss has for all her equipment and also make a bow, we didn't make one as the weather wasn't as good as we would have liked it to be. It was raining and it was dark. The weather made it tiring but it was so fun.
If you are wearing a pin you should be careful that it does not fall off or not wear one at all.

Scary movies
When it's halloween do you guys watch horror movies or is too much for you to handle? My best friends and I watched Zombieland with Emma Stone and Woody Harelson and Jesse Eisenberg. I'll be doing a review on it some time soon, so I won't go into that much detail about it. Zombieland isn't that scary it's funny at the same time and the zombies aren't as scary as I would have expected. I enjoyed it, I'm not a big fan of scary movies I HATE them, I get nightmares and I get scared so easily so I avoid them. This was my first scary movie. It wasn't really that scary but anyways. I would recommend it, if you want to watch a movie that is scary but has humour in it.
Insurgent Posters
Not too long ago eight posters for the sequel to Divergent, Insurgent were released. The cool thing about these posters were they came with a clip, of them forming. These posters had that 3D look, because Insurgent will be in cinemas in 2D and 3D. I don't have a favourite out of all of them but what made me think was why do they have Max in it. I don't care about Max I would have preferred if it was a Marlene poster. I'm glad that Uriah is in the movie though, he's one of my favourite characters so I am very excited to see what Keiynan will bring to this charecter.
Fast and Furious 7

Avengers: Age of Ultron
Not so long ago, I think it was Wednesday a teaser trailer for the sequel to Avengers Assemble was released. In this new clip we get a glimpse of the Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and none other than Ultron. This teaser trailer shows us a moody side of the new movie compared to the first one. The background music gives it an even more moody atmosphere. We can still tell that there is more trouble. Some Avengers still don't get along with each other. Ultron seems like a really cool character even though he is the villain, he just has this mysterious vibe that makes you so attached to find out more. I can't wait to see this movie next month in the summer! Here is the clip for y'all!

The thing that made my heart break was seeing Peeta in the first one beaten up and in the second one crying. I hope the movie is as good as these clips. The press will begin next week so hopefully we will get more clips and stills!

Hey hey guys! I hope y'all are doing fine! So this week I'm not posting a movie review. As you know The Hunger Games have released so much Mockingjay-Part 1 news, so I decided to give it it's own post this week. Also I haven't done one of these kind of posts in a long time.
I'll be talking about the song by Lorde called Yellow Flicker Beat, the new one minute clip that was released and also the press dates for Mockingajy have been announced and the new game!

Yellow Flicker Beat and Hanging Tree
So not so long ago Lorde released a song for the Mockingjay-Part 1 soundtrack called Yellow Flicker Beat. Lorde is also the person who is in charge of the soundtrack. Here is the link for the video if you haven't seen it yet!
In my opinion this song is......AMAZING. I think it really suits the element of MJ-Part 1. My favourite line from the song is
"And I'm locking up everyone who laid a finger on me"
I like this one because it shows that Katniss is tired of people telling her what to do all the time she's ready to do what she wants.
I love the tune, I can't wait to hear the rest of the soundtrack.
On the soundtrack I really hope that there's Sia and Imagine Dragons because their songs last year on the Catching fire soundtrack "Who we are" and Elastic heart" were so catchy. They were my favourite. Tell me your opinions on the song!
Also this news about Hanging Tree came out yesterday
I'm really excited to hear "The Hanging Tree" and to hear Jennifer's a cappella. I'm so happy that Francis decided to keep it in.
There are rumours that the MJ-Part 1 soundtrack songs will be released on 24th October and The Hanging Tree score is confirmed to be coming out November 24. Just remember the soundtrack news is a RUMOUR!
District 12
The Hunger Games released a teaser clip on Wednedsay/Thursday of Katniss in District 12. Here's the deal, they didn't decide to release it straight away, they wanted everyone to tweet #unlockmockingjay and get it to 100 precent. We ended up getting it to 100 and whoever tweeted the hashtag The Hunger Games tweeted to you. Here is what they said as they twetteed me!
As you know I was obviously bouncing of the walls. I texted my bff aka pig Beatrish at 4.30am. They tweeted the majority of people who typed #unlockmockingjay. I honestly didn't even think I would be noticed by them and this isn't the first time, they favourited on of my tweets, the guy who plays Castor replied to me (I posted that before) and one of the actress who plays Katniss' stylist retweeted on my my tweets.

The clip shows Katniss walking through the District 12 rubble and at the end Katniss is in for a surprise. I'm so hyped for next month to see the movie and all the premiers and look what Francis tweeted!!!!
How exciting? I can't wait to see what Francis has done with MJ-Part 1 as I was very very VERY impressed with Catching Fire.

The seeker goes in search of finding Wanderer and the humans, and the humans must protect themselves from The Host. Will they be found? Will they be taken over by Hosts?

I read the book and got really attached to it, and wanted to see the movie. This movie is really interesting, it didn't really change that much from the book in the movie. The actors and actresses were really good. I didn't get bored at all. The ending was one of my favourite scenes. I did get confused between Wanderer and Melanie while reading the book, like who was talking but not so much in the movie.

All the birds of Mexico!

Blue, Jewel and their kids live a safe life in a bird sanctuary in Rio De Janeiro. After finding out that there are more birds just like them, they venture off with their friends to go find them. Once they find the other birds in an exotic place. The Amazon, everyone seems to be getting along fine and fitting in except for Blue.
Blue feels that if he doesn't fit in with these new group of birds, his wife Jewel and his kids will think he is just one boring bird.
Linda and Tiago must find a way to stop this guy from doing something horrible or soon all the birds will become extinct.

Overall I thought this movie was ok. It was fun but it wasn't as funny or interesting as the first one. I just felt like they made a Rio 2 because they felt like they needed. I feel that they just decided to come up with this really boring plot, and that they rushed it. The movie for me went by really fast and I almost fell asleep, unlike the first one which was amazing and the plot was really good. The only scene I really enjoyed out of all of the movie that attracted me was when Nico, Pedro, and Rafeal held auditions. That scene made me laugh the most.

Casting News
The Scorch trial the second book in The Maze Runner trilogy, has cast their Aris, Brenda and Jorge!!
This is our Aris being played by Jacob Lofland. When I saw him, I didn't think he was the right choice. I expected Aris to be shorter and his hair a bit shorter than this. I wasn't really happy with this, but I should wait until next September to see what he will bring to the character Aris, before I can say he is a bad actor, I think Wes knows what he is doing.
Brenda is being played by Rosa Salazar. I was happy with this casting as I imagined Brenda looking like this. I have a positive feeling she will do good as Brenda and her and Thomas will have a very good connection on screen. I can't wait to see what she will bring to the character Brenda!
And last but not least we have out Jorge!
This casting news is the most recent one I have heard about The Scorch Trials. Giancarlo Esposito is playing the "Crank" (putting quotations marks because if you have read the Death Cure you will known why) Jorge. I'm ok with this casting, I think he will make a perfect Jorge. I just think he seems too nice to play Jorge. Giancarlo seems like such a sweet and joyful guy, but if he's playing the villain on Breaking Bad, then I think he will do just fine as Jorge. And also I thought Jorge would be in his middle twenties leading up thirties. No later than thirty-five, which surprised me a lot.
They will start shooting The Scorch Trials during October near the end in New Mexico!! What scene are you most excited for? I am really excited for the "Rose took my nose I suppose" scene as the atmosphere is really scary and James describe their description so clearly. I hope they have that scene in the movie.

Top 4 for October!
Hey Hey guys, so September is coming to an end, there were some really good movies out this month that I would have loved to have seen, but October is coming and there will be even better movies to see. I'm going to do my Top 4 movies that I'm excited about for October. I will normally do 5 but I didn't find a fifth that I would like. I hope you guys enjoy it and the link for the trailers will be after the 4 descriptions!
4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I am obsessed with action and adventure movies. I have grown up watching the turtles on T.V and for this to turn into a movie is really exciting. The graphics look amazing and everything is so nowadays when you see the trailer. The turtles are bigger than ever, which when I first saw the trailer shocked me a little, but I like it. There are very mixed opinions about this movie some say its bad, some say its good. You'll just have to see it for yourself to make up your own opinion.
3. The Book of Life
I am really excited for this movie. The thing that got my attention in the trailer was:
1. When one of the guys turns into a skeleton, will he come back to be a normal guy ,will he not be able to go back anymore or will he choose to stay like a skeleton forever?
2. The animation and the bright colours really caught my eye. Who doesn't like good animation? and lastly
3. There are two men fighting for the love of a lady. I always find these type of plots interesting but predictable. It makes you wonder, since he's a skeleton will she accept him or will she pick the other guy because he is normal or will the skeleton guy be too late when he goes to the love of his life? Who knows? I'm guessing that she picks the Skeleton guy. We'll just have to wait until October
2. Love Roise
I'm not a big fan of romance movies, it's really just the same thing. There's a girl and a guy, the guy likes the girl or the girl likes the guy but are afraid to tell them, then there's all the weird things that happen along the way and in the end they are together. The End.
The reason this movie caught my eye is that there is way more going on that usually, Roise has a baby and Alex is engaged to Roise's friend (I think). They have been friends for 5 years and don't know if they are right for each other or not (seriously people) I really want to see Love Roise because it seems quite funny and even though I think Alex and Roise will end up together happly ever after, I still want to see what happens along the way. Apprantly I have heard from a friend that the movie is different to the book. If any of you have seen the movie and read the book is it different?
1. The Maze Runner
I am super excited for this movie. I have read the whole trilogy in about 2 weeks and I think it's amazing. In my opinion I think the actors and the actress Kaya were an amazing pick for the movie. I don't think that it's the same as The Hunger Games as some people say "It's the new Hunger Games". The only similarity I see is that it's YA. They don't kill each other like the Maze Runner, they get along. And they have rules unlike The Hunger Games where they all kill each other until one survies. Seeing all the trailer's and TV spots get me super hyped for this movie. I hope it's as good as the book.

Casting News
The Scorch Trials castings have begun. Yesterday Wes announced that Aiden Gillan will be playing RatMan aka Janson. If you guys don't remember him from the book he sends them through Phase 2. That's all I'm going to say because I don't want ruin it for the people who haven't read the book yet. That's him. 
Do you guys think he suits RatMan. I think he does suit him. I'm excited to see who will play Jorge and Brenda especially.
Character stills
So The Hunger Games Instagram account have started to release character stills from Mockingjay-Part 1. Here are what they have relased so far!
My favourite still is Gale (Obviously) and also Caesar with his purple hair and colourful flower suit. I'm so exited for the other stills to come and I will post them in my next post and also 🎷🎷
Lorde will be releasing the first song from the Mockingjay- Part 1 soundtrack on Monday!! How exciting? The picture down below looks super cool! Don't you think?
